Central Avenue United Methodist Church was once the largest Methodist congregation in the state and its members made a powerful contribution not only to the creation of St. Luke's but to the creation of Indianapolis. Be captivated by personal stories of more than 25 church members - stories of success and struggle through a century of change as storyteller Sally Perkins tells the story of Hugged By These Walls. Indiana Landmarks, Bill Cook and others have poured over $10 million into the complete restoration of this building, now the Indiana Landmark's Center.
The story was commissioned by Storytelling Arts of Indiana and Indiana Landmarks with generous funding from Frank and Katrina Basile.
