The Trip to Indy
Told by Frances Whitener

The Trip to Indy is a humorous story about a fact-finding
journey to Indianapolis which my husband Rick and I made in 1977. It is
an account of the activities and numerous mishaps which we experienced
throughout the trip. Our purpose was to look into the opportunities in
Indianapolis and what it had to offer to us as a place to live and work.
This story not only reminds us of what the city was like in 1977 but
also helps us to see the remarkable changes which have taken place since
then.
5 - 5:45 p.m.
Wise Mothers Lie
Told by Sally Perkins

Wise Mothers Lie will showcase the street wisdom of
telling white lies to our children and the consequences of not doing so
through two hilarious personal travel stories that inadvertently
terrified Sally's son. All in good humor, both tales become stories
within a story of a mother's success in traumatizing her child because
she just couldn't tell a lie.
