Check out Aaron's Indexes for links to scores of stories arranged by title, age, ethnicity, geography, history and other categories. Aaron's Storybook features folktales, fairy tales, tall tales, legends and more. Aaron's Storytelling page has more stories and a "how to tell stories" lesson suitable for students in gr. 5-12.

Education Place: Wacky Web Tales
Students select a title and provide specific parts of speech to complete fill-in-the-blank stories. Nice warm-up for reluctant students gr. 3–6.

Fractured Fairy Tales
Students can read sample fractured fairy tales, then are given prompts to write their own. For students gr. 4-5

Grimms’ Fairy Tales
Twelve “unvarnished” tales, four with audio. Some recordings are eight minutes or longer. For students gr. 3–12.

The Internet Public Library: Story Hour
Ten stories from various cultural traditions, with and without illustrations, to read or retell. Some have animated graphics. For students gr. K-5.

The Kid’s Storytelling Club
Create "wee folk" stories, make pipe cleaner "wee folk" to help tell your story, or sign up for the Junior Storyteller newsletter. For students gr. 3–12. Includes activities and resources for teachers.

The Moonlit Road
Text and streaming audio versions of ghost stories and other tales rooted in Southern culture. "Talk About the Story" links to message board. For students gr. 4–12; may be too scary for primary.

Story Arts: Story Library
Concise plots of very short folktales and 26 of Aesop's fables for retelling, re-working, or performance skill practice.

StoryPlace: The Digital Children’s Library
Elementary and pre-school libraries where children can work unassisted on reading and story-related activities. Check out interactive Topsy-Turvey Tales like “Little Red High Tops.” Activities to print out and other links make for a well-rounded site. For students gr. K-5.
