About the Event
Storytellers of every skill level will have up to five minutes to tell a true story based on the monthly theme. The theme this month is “Paper or Plastic.” If you want to tell a story, just show up and put your name in the basket. You can watch the stories for free in person or from home. We’ll be livestreaming the slam on YouTube.com/StorytellingArts and our Facebook page.
Rules of the slam:
Stories must be up to five minutes long, personal, true, told in first person, and based on the theme, which can be interpreted narrowly or broadly. We just ask tellers not to use props or read from the page. Prizes will be awarded to the top three tellers. Note: Parts or all of your story will be posted on our social media or YouTube channel.
