Programs
Storytelling Arts of Indiana produces over 100 programs a year, from ticketed events to a host of free outreach events.

Frank Basile's Emerging Stories Fellowship
Storytelling Arts of Indiana offers an annual fellowship to an Indiana storyteller to create and premiere new material. The Frank Basile Emerging Stories Fellowship encourages and recognizes the talent and skills of our Hoosier tellers. This program is possible because of the generosity and commitment of Frank and Katrina Basile to the art of storytelling. Bloomfield and Friends
Storytelling Arts of Indiana hosts a mentoring program for individuals of color to learn the art of storytelling. The program is taught by and named after our dear colleague Celestine Bloomfield.

Hear Our Stories: The Life and Afterlife of Incarceration
People returning to our city after being incarcerated face many challenges. They’ll share first-hand stories about their lives inside prison and what it’s like adjusting to life on the outside. Hear the lived experiences of our prison system and learn how you can get involved in the many organizations that provide services both inside and outside of prisons. Let these courageous stories change your perspective and motivate you to act. Check out our events calendar for upcoming Hear Our Stories dates.

Indy Story Slam
Indy Story Slam is a fun night of storytelling, designed as an after-work event to relax and unwind. Storytellers of every skill level will have up to five minutes to tell a true story based on the monthly theme. Story Slams happen every third Wednesday of the month at a different Indianapolis bar or restaurant.
Check out our events calendar for upcoming Slams.
